The other day I had a slice of cherry pie, it wasn't that great and I am sure it didn't taste as nice as the cherry pie in Twin Peaks which is what I was hoping for. However today I made Cherry and Almond Burnt-Butter Torte (recipe from The Age Sunday Life suppliment) and it was delicious. I think I will stick to torte's as they are not supposed to rise which always seems to be my downfall when baking cakes - as flat as a torte!
I am sure Agent Dale Cooper would like my torte.
